Wally the Green Monster, the official mascot of the Boston Red Sox*, is set to appear at the 2011 North Shore Arthritis Walk. Last year he joined hundreds of North Shore residents as they moved together against arthritis. A huge hit with the many children at the walk. Wally also created laughs on stage with committee members and ambassadors.[Full Story]



Colts mascot to visit Fort Wayne school (February 28, 2011)

Mississippi lawmaker wants Ole Miss mascot Col. Reb to rise again (January 25, 2011)
A state legislator wants to restore Colonel Reb as the University of Mississippi mascot.

State Rep. Mark DuVall, D-Mantachie, has filed legislation that would force the university to use the icon as its team mascot. His bill also would require the Ole Miss band to play "Dixie" and "From Dixie with Love" during football and basketball games.[Full Story]
